About

Gabriel DeVault is an Aerospace Engineer and EV systems architect. Current and previous experience includes.

  • Currently employed as Senior Manager of Hardware Development for PrecisionHawk, a large drone inspection software and service company.
  • Founding member of InspecTools, a large and successful drone inspection company. Since acquired by PrecisionHawk
  • Worked for JOBY Aviation and designed the HEIST truck, a rolling wind-tunnel for the NASA X-57 project.
  • Founding member of Zero Motorcycles, world largest and most successful Electric Motorcycle company. Ran R&D and was integral to development of industry leading electric powertrain.
  • Worked for Easy Racers and designed and built high efficiency bicycles and streamlined human power vehicles.

In his spare time, Gabe likes to design, build, and fly, anything and everything. From RC aircraft and drones of all types, to paragliders, gliders, ultralights and "regular" aircraft.

Gabe assisted EarthStar Aviation with the 1st electric conversion of the ThunderGull to electric power using the Zero Motorcycles drivetrain. After several years, things finally aligned and he acquired that original E-Gull and re-built it and has been having a ridiculous amount of fun flying it around the Monterey Bay area.
